First Bus and FlixBus have announced a five-year partnership that will see eight new or expanded coach routes launching across the UK from next year, strengthening long-distance travel options nationwide. The collaboration marks a major milestone for both companies, with First Bus furthering its reach into the intercity coach market and FlixBus doubling down on its UK expansion.

Manchester's First Bee Branded Bus Enters Service

It’s only 6 months until Greater Manchester's transport network is changed forever - buses are set to come under local control and get the amazing Bee Network yellow branding! Today, the first co-branded bus was unveiled and it’ll enter service in Bolton today on the number 8 route to Manchester city centre. Diamond Bus North West Diamond along with Go North West will be leading the change in Wigan and Bolton and parts of Salford and Bury. Both operators will transform their buses into the iconic yellow colour, with more and more appearing on the roads as we get closer to the 24th September, when full franchising begins. In preparation for the big change, 50 brand new electric Bee Network buses will enter service on the first day, as well as new Euro VI buses. Come March 2024, 50 more electric buses will join the network when the second part of the franchising scheme starts. All-Electric TrawsCymru T1 Buses Debut in Wales

It’s an exciting day for public transport in Wales with the unveiling of brand new electric buses for the TrawsCymru T1 route between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth. Transport for Wales Deputy Minister for Climate Change Lee Waters had the honour of unveiling these state-of-the-art buses, which will start operating from 26th March 2023 and will be based out of a new charging depot in Carmarthen. Flixbus Teams up with Belle Vue to Expand North England Services

We are pleased to announce that FlixBus is teaming up with bus and coach operator Belle Vue Manchester to launch a daily service connecting major cities in the north of England. Flixbus The partnership marks the expansion of Belle Vue into express coach services and brings a new cross-country corridor to the FlixBus network, adding new locations and better connectivity. The Manchester hub for the route is Shudehill Interchange and FlixBus currently serves a number of cities in the North West, including Manchester, Liverpool, Preston and Lancaster. Services to and from Manchester will also include routes to London, Paris, Glasgow, Cambridge and Birmingham. Stagecoach Comes to the Rescue of Chester to Crewe Bus Service

Bus passengers in Cheshire can breathe a sigh of relief today, as Stagecoach has announced that it is taking over the 84 bus service that runs between Chester, Tarvin, Tarporley, Nantwich and Crewe. Tom Harrison (Bus Ambassador) The news follows the announcement that  Arriva North West intends to close its Winsford and Macclesfield bus depots . Starting from the 24th of April, Stagecoach will provide customers with bus services along the route 84 connecting Chester, Nantwich and Crewe.  Stagecoach is also offering PCV licence holders an incredible welcome bonus of £1000 for anyone who signs up for employment at their Chester depot. York and Norwich Set to Become Electric Bus Depots after Boosted Zebra Funding

First Bus is going green with the launch of two all-electric fleets in York and Norwich, UK. This initiative is being backed by Department for Transport (DfT) approved Zero Emission Bus Regional Area (ZEBRA) projects that are being co-funded by First Bus and the UK Government. First Group plc At York and Bramley depots in West Yorkshire, a total of 117 electric buses are being funded and launched, while Hoeford depot in Hampshire is taking things one step further with a full 62 electric bus fleet across all its commercial routes. First Bus will also continue to work with Leicester City Council on the ZEBRA project at the depot in the city with the pioneering deployment of 68 vehicles. At the conclusion of the ZEBRA projects, First Bus will have over 600 zero emission buses in their fleet. D&G Bus Steps in to Rescue Mid Cheshire Bus Passengers

The Mid Cheshire bus network faced the possibility of being put in jeopardy following news that local Arriva depots in Winsford and Macclesfield were at risk of closure. Despite this threat, however, Cheshire residents are breathing a collective sigh of relief. Another operator has now pledged to fill the gap left by Arriva, covering as much of the network as they possibly can. A Brighter Future for Warrington: Green Light for Electric Buses

Warrington is paving the way to become one of the greenest towns in the UK after Warrington Borough Council's Cabinet gave the green light for Warrington's Own Buses to move forward with replacing its entire diesel bus fleet with zero tailpipe emissions electric buses. Warrington's Own Buses By 2024, Warrington will have a total of 105 electric buses taking the place of their current diesel fleet. This ground-breaking initiative will be one of the largest such programs ever established in the UK, revolutionising the public transport in the town. People of Warrington can look forward to a more eco-friendly, reliable and cost-efficient transportation service in the near future. The success in securing the largest funding award made from the Government's ZEBRA (Zero Emission Bus Regional Area) scheme in 2021 will go towards the replacement of Warrington's diesel buses. In addition, the Council is contributing significantly towards the scheme with its funding commitment
